It is often helpful to use shade cloth to protect the crops from insects and to regulate the temperature of the rows.
-- Uses BLACK SHADE CLOTH to cool things down when it is hot. Tip: It is easier to roll the shade cloth up on the sides rather than roll underneath.
- Use WHITE SHADE CLOTH to keep things warm when it is cold.
For plants that produce flowers, remove the shade cloth when flowers appear so pollinators can reach the flowers.
